Born Belgian, I am now dual citizen of Belgium and the USA. French is my mother language, I'm also fluent in english and know some dutch and german.
I lived in Belgium until January 2004 when I moved to San Antonio, Texas. I now live in Maryland.
When I was young, I did a little bit of gymnastics but never in competition. Later I learned to juggle and performed in street circus shows.
I discovered sports acrobatics in the school year 1985-86 during a coaching course given by Guy Van der Marlière. I though that it was the perfect combination of gymnastics and circus and became a sports acrobatics fan.
Between 1987 and 2003, I have been active in the development of sports
acrobatics in Belgium, especially in the french speaking part of
Belgium where the level is much lower than in Flanders.
I organised the Belgium Championships in 1996, 1998 and 2003 and had the honor of
being chosen as head of the belgian delegation at the 2002 World Championships
in Riesa, Germany.
I was a national judge in Belgium in 1995-2003, a US national or national superior judge since 2004 and became an international judge in 2017.
I ended my judging career at the end of 2023.
